Loving a friend through hard times is not easy.
To sit still and listen to the processing of grief, relationships, angst or complex life decisions requires patience and compassion. This is not easy to do, We like to be fixers, problem-solvers and offer advice. Often what a friend needs is a loving ear, a human touch and words of encouragement that no matter what, they have a friend.
In the news recently we have heard of much tragedy involving suicide and despair. It is sometimes not obvious when others are not coping well and when health declines so does decision-making ability. Conflicts and tragedy affect us all.
Let's be an unconditional lifeboat for each other. Let's be that friend that commits to withholding judgement, who shows up with arms open willing to love each other through the storm. Just knowing that fact can make the world and our journeys better!.
