Worrying is a bad habit! Physiologically, when you worry, your body lives out the worst case scenarios of your anxious thoughts, Why do we do that to ourselves? There are definitely times when worrying is legit, however, if you're wired with the anxious gene, worry can really bog you down. Managing your mental energy is a key to a successful, happy life. As we launch back into the New Year, this can be a good one to tackle.
Here are some tips to help you breathe deeper and quiet the noise in your brain: Focus on the positives. Decrease clutter in your surroundings and live more in the present. Living too far into the future or getting stuck in the the past decreases your ability to live fully now! Some worries are much lighter when you share them with a trusted friend. You never know, they might have a new perspective to offer or even a way to over come the hurdle.
