Most of us would agree that wellness includes adequate sleep, balanced diet and an active lifestyle including workouts, hobbies and fulfilling work. There is no doubt that paying attention to healthy relationships and emotional wellbeing is important too. For many this is the hard part! Many would prefer to bench a 100lbs before they have to flex an emotional muscle but often that is just because of lack of practice. Just like weights we can start with 5lbs and work our way up to the big time bench press. Start small, take one vulnerable step and share a piece of your heart. Once you get rolling, it becomes a way of life. For those who are more wired for sensitivity, be patient and encourage those who are taking these risks.
